Why Lottie?

I'll be honest, when I joined Lottie, I didn't really know what I was signing up for. Now I'm here, I haven't looked back once. It is genuinely the best job I've ever had and the most fulfilled I've felt. Being part of the Lottie team allows me to make change on both an individual and industry level, whilst working alongside genuine, wonderful and talented individuals.

What’s your favourite part of the job?

My favourite part of the job is knowing that when I leave work each day I have done as much as I possibly can to help families in really tough situations. Whether that is seeing them through the whole journey and finding a care home for them, or just offering advice and a listening ear - it is incredibly rewarding.

What did life before Lottie look like?

I was a care assistant for 4.5 years while doing my degree and loved it. My life was very busy and I was either asleep or at work and university.

If you could change one thing about the care industry, what would it be?

I do not believe you should pay for your care through whole life earnings, care should be free, for everyone. You’ve spent your whole life giving to society, so we as a nation should thank that with free care.

What’s your favourite part of the job?

Talking with care seekers over the phone and sensing the depth of love they have for their family is very moving. It serves as a lovely reminder of the importance of family. Being able to help these care seekers find the ideal care solution for their loved ones is a privilege.
